SECTION 01
Who you are contracting with

SECTION 02
What the plan is
A discretionary vehicle warranty that contributes to the cost of repairing the sudden and unforeseen failure of covered mechanical and electrical components, up to the limits of your plan. There are five plans — Silver, Gold, Platinum, EV & Hybrid and Commercial — each with its own eligibility, limits and covered components (see the plan page and Terms of Cover).
Important. This plan is not insurance. It is not FCA-regulated and not covered by the FSCS. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
SECTION 03
Price & how it is worked out
- Prices are shown on each plan page and include VAT. Terms available are 1, 2 and 3 years.
- A vehicle pricing factor may apply, found by a DVLA look-up at checkout: engine over 2,500cc +35%, 4×4/SUV +35%, or Jaguar/Land Rover +100%. Only the single highest factor applies — they are never added together.
- Commercial EV & Hybrid add-on: an optional +10% of the Commercial price.
- Your final price is confirmed before you pay and recorded on your Plan Schedule.
SECTION 04
Breakdown cover (TNS365)
Roadside assistance and recovery is provided by our partner TNS365, 24/7. It is included in the Gold, Platinum, EV & Hybrid and Commercial plans, and is an optional add-on on Silver for £50. Cover is UK-mainland roadside assistance and recovery (recovery up to 25 miles); it does not include home-start, onward travel, European cover or EV-specific flat-bed recovery. Customers call TNS365 direct on 0330 0433 365.
SECTION 05
Payment, start date & duration
Payment is taken by card (Stripe), monthly instalments (Bumper) or Direct Debit (GoCardless). Your cover runs for the term shown on your Plan Schedule (1, 2 or 3 years) from your start date. A 30-day waiting period applies from the start date before claims can be made.
SECTION 06
How to claim
All claims are made online through your Member's Hub at customer.drivesafewarranty.co.uk. Take the vehicle to any UK VAT-registered garage for diagnosis, upload the details for authorisation, and we pay the approved repair directly to the garage — you pay only your excess.
SECTION 07
Your right to cancel
You may cancel within 14 days of your start date — or of receiving your plan documents, if later — for a full refund if no claim has been made (CCR 2013). Your refund is made by whoever took your payment — Drive Safe for website purchases, or your dealer for dealer purchases. See our Cancellation Rights page.
SECTION 08
