Pre-purchase MOT condition
Check your MOT expiry before you buy
We can't cover a vehicle if its MOT is due to expire within 40 days — unless you give us a fresh MOT pass or an independent inspection from the last 14 days. This doesn't apply to cars under 3 years old that don't yet need an MOT.
Important — Applies to all plans
30-day waiting period from plan start date
No claims can be made in the first 30 days from purchase. Pre-existing faults — those arising or existing before the waiting period ends — are not covered. This is a universal condition across every DriveSafe plan.
