DRIVE SAFE WARRANTY · LEGAL
Cancellation Rights
Your right to cancel your plan, how refunds work, and how to transfer your cover.
SECTION 01
Your 14-day cooling-off right
You may cancel your plan within 14 days of your start date (or of receiving your documents, if later) and receive a full refund, provided no claim has been made. This is your statutory cooling-off right under CCR 2013.
SECTION 02
How your refund is paid
Your refund is made by whoever took your payment:
- If you bought your plan directly from us through the website, Drive Safe processes your refund.
- If you bought your plan from a dealer, the dealer took your payment and the dealer is responsible for refunding you. Drive Safe is not responsible for refunds on dealer purchases.
In each case the refund is made in line with applicable UK consumer law and returned by the original payment method.
SECTION 03
Cancelling after 14 days
After the cooling-off period you may cancel your plan at any time. If you bought your plan directly from us, contact Drive Safe. If you bought your plan through a dealer, contact the dealer you bought it from — the dealer took your payment and is responsible for any refund on a dealer purchase. Where a refund is due, it is calculated in line with your Terms of Cover.
SECTION 04
Transferring your cover
If you sell your vehicle privately, the remaining cover may be transferred to the new owner, subject to our agreement and payment of a £35 administration fee. Cover cannot be transferred to a vehicle used outside the permitted-use rules of your plan.
SECTION 05
How to cancel
To cancel, contact us at info@drivesafewarranty.co.ukor through your Member's Hub, or (for a dealer purchase) contact your supplying dealer.
SECTION 06
Your statutory rights
Cancelling your plan does not affect your other statutory rights, including your rights against a supplying dealer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. DriveSafe is a discretionary warranty — not insurance.
